Signal converter
Since 1986, signal converters have been a focus area at Comadan, which under the C-MAC brand has produced and marketed simple and easily accessible solutions within Industrial signal converters.
Over the years, we have developed functional solutions where we focus on user needs and offer a wide range of fixed and programmable signal converters.
We handle
- AC/DC power input from 15μA to 10A
- AC/DC voltage input from 10 mV to 1500VAC/1000VDC
- Pulses/frequency input up to 10 kHz
- Resistance
Temperature, RTD and TC.
Industrial signal converters
Industrial signal converters play a crucial role in modern manufacturing and process industries by
facilitating seamless exchange of information between different types of equipment and systems.
These converters are designed to transform signals from one format to another while preserving
the integrity and accuracy of the original data.
They are commonly used to interface different sensors, actuators, controllers, and other devices
that use different signal standards
Applications of industrial signal converters
Process control systems:
Industrial signal converters are essential components of process control systems
where they enable communication between sensors, actuators, and control systems to regulate variables
such as temperature, pressure, flow and level in industrial processes.
Factory automation:
In factory automation and robotics, signal converters facilitate communication
between different sensors, motors, and controllers, enabling precise control and monitoring
of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Types of industrial signal converters
Analog converters:
The analog converter translates continuous analog inputs into a desired output format.
For example, converting a signal from voltage to current (U/I converter)
Signal isolators:
Signal insulators provide electrical isolation (galvanic separation) between input and output signals and protect sensitive equipment from electrical interference and ground loops.
They can also convert between different voltage or current levels, ensuring compatibility between devices with different signal requirements.
Frequency-to-analog converter:
These converters translate pulse or frequency signals into analog voltage or current outputs.
They are often used in applications, in connection with speed measurement/regulation or frequency/pulse-based measurement systems
